Samsung has included satellite messaging to select phones in the United States. This new feature means individuals will be able to make and receive text transmissions when cellular network coverage is not available by providing satellite connectivity.
The satellite messaging feature is available on the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, Galaxy S24 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Fold 6 in the U.S. Activation can only be done if you are a T-Mobile customer with a postpaid line and have applied to test the T-Mobile Starlink service.
To access the feature of satellite messaging, go to Settings > Connections > Satellite Networks. Then you may send and receive text messages through satellites.
This is a beta service, so it will not be available to all. However, it is definitely a promising development and may make it possible to stay connected in places without cellular service.
